Self Care

I remember when this picture was taken.
I was in the perfect space mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually.
I vowed to myself that I would always be in charge of my happiness.
That’s the moment I knew I could have it all.

I remember when this picture was taken.
I was constantly working
Never taking a vacation
Never doing anything for me
Then it happened…

Years before, I created ‘get up and go days’
On these days, I’d just jumped in my car and hit the open road
Going wherever it took me.

I remember when this picture was taken.
I sat in my hotel room
On my long overdue vacation
And just smiled.
I was in a better mental state
I was physically, emotionally and spiritually healthy.

Let’s face it
COVID-19 has been tough on us
But it also provided the opportunity for us to redefine our stories
✨Redefine us
✨Redefine our expectations of others

But most importantly COVID-19 has taught us
✨How to trust ourselves more
✨How to trust in our abilities
To see and make the changes we desire
But even then it’s still hard

If you’re ever feeling lost
Reach out to someone
Make meaningful connections to sustain your mental health 💕💕
